With capacity for 24 guests, our 4-acre property boasts 6 en-suite private retreat chalets (holding up to 12 guests), 2 expansive shared retreat rooms (holding 4 guests each) and our exclusive founder's lodge which is a self-contained cottage boasting 2 further ensuite bedrooms. The retreat is brought to life by our family of warm, friendly, and dedicated staff whilst our menu of adventures lets you fully customise your itinerary, from ancient wellness practices to safari experiences. All you need to do is bring your vision, your clients and your magic for our team to co-create the retreat of a lifetime.

Surrounding Area

In the Southern Highlands of Tanzania our retreat space blends barefoot luxury with African charm. Far from the tourist trail, guests are invited to experience authentic Tanzanian culture. A Safari excursion in the vast wilderness of Ruaha National Park is easily accessible from the lodge where guests can spot the Big 5 and so much more from a Landcruiser driven by one of our expert guides.

The town’s lively markets and craft stalls are a short walk from the retreat whilst the surrounding mountainous landscape is perfect for hiking in the local area.

Al-fresco wellness practices will feature soul-stirring views of the Great Ruaha River Valley from our hilltop yoga deck, or workshops can be conducted in our huge glass-walled studio which features a wood-burner for heated yoga sessions. Guests will have full access to high-end equipment and can unwind after fitness sessions in our wood-fired saunas and refreshing natural waterfall showers, or take a dip in our salt-water pool. Immersed in native woodland gardens, the Lodge is a tranquil escape, spotted with hammocks and fire pits.

We take sustainability seriously and operate entirely off the grid thanks to our cutting-edge solar panels. To minimise plastic waste on-site, we have installed a reverse-osmosis water filtration system which guarantees safe, unlimited water at all times. Our building materials and furnishings are regionally sourced to minimise our footprint and showcase the craftsmanship of local artisans.

Services: Our service is designed to take the stress out of planning a retreat by presenting a fully inclusive in-house offering. We provide round-trip transfers, all meals and non alcoholic beverages, a range of cultural activities and round the clock retreat hosts who will keep the property pristine whilst acting as your local guides in the area.

Cooking classes, paint and sip evenings, guided hikes and African drumming circles can all be built into your bespoke itinerary at no extra cost. No visit to Tanzania would be complete without a Safari experience, and for an additional cost, we can take your group into the Ruaha National Park for a 1 or 2 day adventure with the option to include an overnight stay at a luxury bush camp.

For those interested in a Tribal Wellness Experience, we can also arrange for your group to travel by 4×4 to visit a remote tribal community and meet a traditional medicine man still practising much as his ancestors have for thousands of years.

We're extremely conscious of our ethical responsibilities in traditional communities, and our retreat adventures are made possible through personal relationships we've developed over many years to provide our guests with unparalleled opportunities for real human connection.

Full Board

Full Board: All food and drink is included in the price of your stay, with alcoholic beverages charged separately. Our private chef, Diana, will craft a bespoke menu to suit your group's dietary requirements. Curious guests are invited to accompany her to the local market to select fresh produce and learn how to cook traditional Tanzanian dishes.

Come together in the communal dining area to enjoy nourishing meals, then enjoy the evening with our range of wines and local cocktails on sofas beside a roaring fire in the cosy lounge bar.
