How Venue Retreat Helped Cycloid Plan Their Ideal Offsite
When Cycloid reached out to Venue Retreat, they were looking for more than just a venue—they needed a partner who could help them design a meaningful offsite experience. With a team of 24 spread across France and Spain, and a total budget of €24,000 to include travel, food, accommodation, and activities, the challenge was finding a space that was not only cost-effective but inspiring.
David, Venue Retreat’s founder, personally took the lead on their request. After a call with Celine from Cycloid’s marketing team, he identified three tailored options based on their vision: something close to a city, ideally in Spain or France, where they could enjoy a mix of work sessions, cultural exploration, and fun—without the feel of a standard hotel.
Three proposals were presented:
A 5 star estate in Mallorca, perfect for luxury, comfort and easy beach access.
A more affordable rustic finca retreat near Valencia, surrounded by orange groves and nature
And what became the winning choice: a charming private estate near Sitges, just outside Sitges Barcelona—Barcelona Manor
The Sitges option offered the best of all worlds: quick access from Barcelona, full exclusivity, plenty of space for group work and downtime, and a flexible layout to host both onsite dinners and a night out in town. It ticked every box.
We worked closely with the venue team and as always they went above and beyond to fine-tune the details—from a fully equipped meeting space to catering, transport, wine-tasting options, bike rentals, and of course, karaoke. Throughout the process, communication remained fast, transparent, and supportive—helping Cycloid feel confident every step of the way.
