Candela is a place that was born from the idea of creating a unique sanctuary in the middle of the jungle. A place that honors the land. That connects deeply with culture. That integrates with nature, instead of being imposed on it.

It is rooted in sustainability and guided by the highest quality design and architectural principles. But more than anything, it is designed for people, for groups to interact, nurture connections, and truly be present.

The rooms are carefully thought through. The lighting in each one is intentionally curated, always kept at 2700° Kelvin to support circadian rhythms and help guests feel as balanced as possible. Every room has blackout shades, allowing for deep rest so focus, clarity, and performance can naturally follow.

We have strict policies around waste management and water treatment systems, so we contribute back to the land in an honest and responsible way, staying true to its original narrative.

Our gastronomic proposal is meant to connect you to the place, to the culture, to the local ingredients, to this incredible country. But we do not stop there. We also partner closely with our chefs and nutritionists to create specific, personalized menus for each group, aligned with their intentions and objectives.

Candela preserves over 70% of the land. So when you stay here, you are constantly immersed in the jungle, what the Japanese call forest bathing, an ancient practice that lowers stress and opens mental space for what truly matters.

Surrounding Area

Candela is located in Region 15, a strategic area of Tulum. It is only 35 minutes from the Tulum International Airport and around two hours from Cancun International Airport. It is 20 minutes from the Candela private beach reserve, 15 minutes from Pargo, a private cenote, and just five minutes from La Veleta, the heart of Tulum when it comes to restaurants, boutiques, and cafés.

At the same time, Candela sits in a tranquil area where the jungle still prevails as the main element. You feel close to everything, yet surrounded by nature, silence, and space to breathe.

Jungle facilities

Candela is surrounded by the jungle and offers a series of shared spaces designed for gathering, movement, and rest.
There is a reception area, a multipurpose salon that can host meetings for up to 30 people or yoga classes for up to 17, a dining area, and a wellness bar.
A meditation garden sits at the heart of the project, offering a quiet space to pause and reconnect.

Each villa has its own fully equipped chef’s kitchen, along with a barbecue area for shared meals. Across the property, there are three private pools and three private jacuzzis, one located in each villa.

Beach facilities

Candela has access to private land located inside a natural reserve.
The beachfront spans 215,278 square feet of private oceanfront land, allowing experiences to be hosted in multiple formats, from workshops to gatherings.
There is a dedicated chilling space that can host up to 30 people, and 137 meters of beachfront, offering privacy, openness, and a deep connection to the sea.

Cenote partnership

Candela is a partner of Cenote Club. Cenotes are unique bodies of water formed by underground rivers that run throughout the region.
Through this partnership, private yoga classes, shared meals, workshops, and full afternoon experiences can be curated exclusively for groups.

Lagoon partnership

Candela also partners with a lagoon venue that offers a temazcal experience, an ancient Maya ritual designed to purify both body and soul.
The space includes a full restaurant facing the lagoon, and activities such as rowing, paddle boarding, and yoga can be seamlessly integrated into the experience.

Transportation
Candela offers transportation options adapted to each group’s needs, including VIP transportation with Mercedes Benz vehicles, as well as regular transportation with Toyota units.

Staff
Our on-site team is designed to make every stay feel effortless and well cared for. This includes housekeeping, private chefs, maintenance, 24/7 security, and concierge services available throughout the experience.

Jungle experiences
The jungle is an active part of the Candela experience. Activities include meditation, breathwork, and yoga, along with cooking classes, herbal medicine workshops, and a beekeeping experience. Guests can also enjoy massages, Mayan ceremonies for intention setting, sound healing sessions, and stargazing. Rooftop dinners and curated jungle activities are part of the experience, as well as mezcal tastings and intimate night events, hosted until midnight.

Cenote experiences
At the cenote, groups can host workshops, yoga, and meditation sessions on a wooden deck surrounded by mangroves and fresh water. The space includes a kitchen, swim club access, coffee service, and curated mezcal tastings.

Lagoon experiences
The lagoon offers a temazcal experience, rowing activities, and paddle boarding. Night events can be hosted here until two in the morning, allowing for extended gatherings in a unique natural setting.

Archaeological sites
Private, guided visits can be arranged to the Tulum archaeological site, Cobá, and Muyil, offering a deeper connection to the region’s history and culture.

Other experiences
Additional experiences include horseback riding, Mayan ceramics workshops, seasonal harpooning, seasonal kitesurfing, and the Mayan channels experience, a slow floating journey through ancient waterways.

Full Board:

Full Board Experience

The full board experience is designed to be seamless, so guests can fully focus on the experience.

It includes VIP transportation to and from the airport, as well as transportation for all scheduled activities. Guests have full use of the communal areas every day, along with accommodation for three nights.

All meals are included, with a personalized menu that covers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, tailored to the needs and objectives of each group.

The experience also includes a dedicated concierge, everyday housekeeping, one wellness activity such as yoga, breathwork, or sound healing, and one Mayan cultural experience, which can be a cooking class, herbal medicine workshop, or a beekeeping experience.
