About the venue

We started welcoming groups to Finca Indigo in March 2026. It is located in a quiet rural setting, in the coastal hills of the Costa Tropical of Andalucia in southern Spain.

The heart of the centre is a lovingly restored main farmhouse, now featuring four 'en suite' bedrooms, a sitting-room with wood-burner, a dining terrace with sea view and open fire, and a spacious, underfloor-heated studio with a retractable glass roof - perfect for yoga, group workshops or creative retreats. Apart from the main house, there are four properties in the gardens, offering a total of ten bedrooms, all with private facilities. The bedrooms can be arranged as shared or solo occupancy, with a maximum capacity of 20 guests in five twin and five double beds.

For year-round comfort all bedrooms have both heated radiators and air-conditioning, with heated towel rails in the shower rooms, and feature full two metre beds, Portugese linen and a tea/coffee point in every room, except in the cottage which has its own kitchen.

The 10 bedrooms can be arranged as 5 twins (or joined together as as super-kings) and 5 king-size doubles. 8 of the rooms have en suite showers and the other 2 are in the separate cottage, where one has an en suite WC and they share a bathroom (as well as a kitchen/living room).

The 8 en suite bathrooms are recently refurbished, with strong showers, heated towel rails and large, well lit mirrors above each basin. Olive oil shower gel, soap and body lotion are provided and there is a hairdryer in each bathroom. All have plenty of storage space for your toiletries and cosmetics.

High-quality food is at the heart of our experience. Our two resident chefs offer a wide range of delicious, signature menus, including vegan and vegetarian options, using fresh, seasonal, locally sourced products wherever possible and pride themselves on their delicious homemade cakes, cookies, jams, chutneys and fermented foods.

Surrounding Area

The centre is in the hills above the village of La Herradura, one hour east of Malaga airport along the main coastal road of the Costa Tropical and less than 10 minutes from the beach.

There is a wide variety of hiking trails/mountain bike routes in the area. Scuba diving and snorkling are very popular in La Herradura, and kayaking and paddle boarding are also available. Granada (50 minutes away) offers the historic Alhambra Palace and there is skiing at the Sierra Nevada resort only an hour away. Nearby are an eco-coffee plantation, horse riding and the vibrant local markets in Almunecar and Nerja.

The wine tasting tour at Senorio de Nevada (towards Granada) and a tour of the famous Nerja Caves are also recommended.

Facilities & Services

Facilities: In the main house there is an indoor studio with underfloor heating and retractable glass roof. Mats, bolsters, blankets, straps, eye masks and meditation chairs for up to 20 people are available. For presentations and teaching we have a large digital display/TV with soundbar, good WiFi, and conventional flip chart/white board.

As well as the interior studio, we have an outside, circular yoga platform with a panoramic view of the bay, two swimming pools in the tropical gardens (with sun loungers) and a sheltered courtyard with picnic tables, a barbecue and pizza oven - and even a paella area! And there is a beautiful 'mirador' for sunset drinks or morning coffee.

In contrast to the public areas, the 1.4 Ha of mature garden offer a variety of opportunities to discover privacy, peace and contemplation and every bedroom has access to outside seating for private time.

Services: Our chefs, offer a wide range of delicious, signature menus for our guests, including vegan and vegetarian options. Most dietary requirements can be catered for. We use fresh, seasonal, locally sourced products wherever possible and there are hot drinks, snacks and treats between meals. Alcoholic drinks are available as an extra.

All meals are cooked by our own chefs, and served on our 20-person dining terrace, which is open in summer and kept warm in winter with transparent blinds and a log-fire. We have several other places to eat outside, such as under the wisteria pergola in the rear courtyard or on the 'mirador' with lovely sea-views.

To complement your core group activity, we can arrange with third parties on your behalf for airport transfers, massages, yoga and pilates, sound baths and guided meditations and excursions to any places of interest.

Full Board: Our prices include full board and occasional snacks but alcoholic drinks and kombucha are extra.
